IT
Final illustration for A Wrinkle in Time. Wanted to play a bit with traditionally drawn line accents over flatter color. I liked the Commie Poster feel, felt it went well with IT (The giant, evil, overlord brain)

Union Station

Went with a group to draw at Union Station. I hadn’t done any drawing from life in about half a year, so, I was pretty happy with my drawings, in pen none-the-less. Look Ma! No eraser!

Uriel
THIS one was fun! A Wrinkle in Time again, this time on the planet Uriel. I liked designing Mrs. Whatsit. Centaur that’s not a centaur? Okay! And I enjoy the patterns on the kids shirts.

Home
Illustration for a scene from A Wrinkle in Time. I attempted watercolor after too long. Mixed feelings about it, but I like the design of it all, and the family in the windows :)

Alternate to the flower FoodCorps poster I did. I was actually pretty fond of this one. Am a fan of the red and green combo.

Scorn

Graphite and Oil on … Printer Paper.

This week we drew the models expressing different emotions. We then took our favorite and xeroxed it and painted over it. The models were great and it was very fun!

Clowns in Oil on Palette Paper

I was feelin kinda weird the day we painted these. I mean, they were supposed to look off, but come on, the first clowns cheek looks like it’s melting… And I like it.

Feathers
Oil on canvas

W. B. Yeats haunted by Poetic Ghosts.
For this assignment we had to paint a drawing done by an ‘old master’. I chose a drawing of WB Yeats (the Irish poet) by John Singer Sargent. I dunno, I just saw the drawing and was like “YES! Irish poet haunted by ghosts out on the moors! (or is that just England?)” And so, I did this guy. And once I was done with the skin tones had whaaay to much fun with the rest of it.
